What is a digital tachograph card?
A Tachograph is an electronic log of your driving time, speed, and distance. It’s a way of making sure drivers are following rules about how many hours they drive. You must use a tachograph if the truck you are driving comes under EU or AETR rules, and it is the responsibility of the driver to operate the tachograph correctly.
An authorised VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) examiner can ask to see your tachograph at any time. Penalties for misuse are severe.
